Progressive Center offers Cornell University Disabilities Awareness Courses for consumers, service agencies, and corporations.

Overview

PCIL offers disabilities nine awareness courses for businesses, local organizations, and consumers. These classroom training sessions were developed by Cornell University to help bring awareness and special training to companies and individuals looking to expand their market and workforce to include people with disabilities.

 

Course Objectives:

The classroom training modules aim to help;

  • Improve your staff competence and remove the awkwardness of meeting or employing a person with a disability.
  • Explain the ADA requirements of your business
  • Teach participants about incentives when employing a person with a disability.
  • Improve the human resource experience.

These workshops will help to inform you, your staff and your organization not only to head off problems, but  also to rise to a level of service excellence.
