Applications are due April 29. 2021.
Applicants are encouraged to complete the applications as early as possible because funds may run out and are given on a first come first serve basis.
Each year the Office of Disability Service for Mercer County offers a scholarship program for any child with a disability, ages 4 to 25, who live in Mercer County to attend a summer program or camp of their choice. Choice can mean programs occurring between Memorial Day through Labor Day. Each Camper must have their own application submitted.
The Summer Campership program provides an award of $85-$400 to each eligible applicant, depending on their household income. The award can be applied toward enrichment activities for the applicant which take place between 5/31/21 and 9/6/21 Families or individuals can be reimbursed for the cost of the activity or the activity provider can be paid directly (if they agree to that arrangement ahead of time). No awards are paid until the youth has completed the activity and proof of attendance and payment or invoice for balance have been provided. Any cost over the amount of the award is the responsibility of the family or individual. Once your application is received and eligibility determined, you will receive notification verifying the award amount. You must contact the program you want to attend PCIL does not register individuals for camps or other programs. Awards are given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
