POSITIVE BEHAVIOR SUPPORTS: What Families Need To Know When Advocating For Their Children: This workshop will help you to identify challenging behaviors, understand what Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) are, become familiar with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), learn strategies that encourage desirable behavior in children, and develop tools to help you advocate for your child. This workshop will focus on supporting families to reduce the impact of over-identification of specific racial and ethnic groups in special education and segregated classrooms.
